What Is Bai Qu: Hundreds of Melodies And Should You Care?

What is Bai Qu: Hundreds of Melodies and are you pronouncing it correctly? I can answer the first question, but don't come to me for an answer to the second--I think it's "Bye-Cue," but I could be wrong (and probably am). Bai Qu is a visual novel about a young man who befriends a young girl and there's probably more to it than that, but, sadly, one thing gets in the way of Bai Qu reaching any kind of potential greatness: the localization/English translation. That's not to say there aren't other issues with the game--the art is lacking and the script could use some cutting--but the weakness of it's localization and translation makes it hard to engage with the story as a native English-speaker, especially if you're like me and mildly dyslexic with reading comprehension issues. Given that story and reading is 90% of what a visual novel is, give or take an extra 9%, that's kind of a problem.

Anyway, that's it and that's all folks. You can get an even more in-depth discussion by listening to the podcast and, if you're feeling extra generous, you can become a patron, donate a little something, or subscribe to show your support for the site, the podcasts, the streaming, the videos, the art, and everything in between. I Shaodid Like 9 Monkeys of Shaolin | Attack the Backlog

Updated on Sunday, July 4, 2021 at 12:00PM by Registered CommenterMarc Kusnierz

On this episode of Attack the Backlog, Marc punches and kicks their way through the fields, forests, and villages of 9 Monkeys of Shaolin, a beat ‘em up full of over-the-top physics, slow-motion deaths, and more tea than you could ever hope to drink. 9 Monkeys of Shaolin originally came out on October 16th, 2020 for PC, PS4, Xbox One, and Switch. Anyway, something-something, better than expected, it got me slightly erected, cheers and enjoy the...wait for it...show!

On this week's episode, Marc starts things off with just the briefest of streaming nonsense before diving deep into the meat of today's episode: what they've playing. What they've been playing this week includes the first-ever visual novel they've enjoyed, a game from the makers of Goat Simulator that's just as bas as Goat Simulator, and so much more. Anyway, something-something, Doki Doki is amazing, my 7th grade English teacher thought I was lazy, cheers and enjoy the anime-zing(ly artsy) show.

After getting all that intro nonsense out of the way, they get on to what they've been playing with a game that traces all the rays and a game where your great uncle Ray can date all the Tracys they could ever hope get down with, in addition to much more. Anyway, something-something, overflowing with content, the name's James Bond, man, cheers and enjoy the anime-zing(ly light at the end of the tunnel) show.

Don't Count on Donut County for Donut Counting! Damacy What I Did There? | Attack the Backlog

Updated on Sunday, June 20, 2021 at 12:00PM by Registered CommenterMarc Kusnierz

On this episode of Attack the Backlog, Marc swallows and occasionally spits in streets and backyards of Donut County, a game where you control a hole and make it bigger by filling it with shit; think Katamari Damacy, only in reverse. Donut County originally came out for iOS, PC, and PS4 on August 28th, 2018, before making its way to Switch and Xbox One on December 18th of that same year. Anyway, something-something, best played on handhelds, I like to watch cheese melt, cheers and enjoy the...wait for it...show!

Chivalry 2, Roguebook, Carnivores: Dinosaur Hunt, Sun Wukong vs Robot, Boris the Rocket, And More | The Pixelated Sausage Podcast

On this week's episode, Marc starts things off by talking about what they can remember from E3, which equates to basically Microsoft and Nintendo and no one else. After exhausting themselves of all things E3, they get on to what they've been playing with a game that proves dodgeball is best played with decapitated heads and a game about turning if off and on again, in addition to much more. Anyway, something-something, grinding on dinosaurs while cooking up tasty s'mores, cheers and enjoy the anime-zing(ly jumpy) show.

Green Hell, Donuts'n'Justice, Dungeon Escape, And More | The Pixelated Sausage Podcast

On this week's episode, Marc starts things off by lying to the listeners about how this is going to be a short show and then goes off on tangent after tangent for nigh 25 minutes. After departing from Tangent City, they get on to what they've been playing with a survival game inspired by Sonic the Hedgehog, a cop game that should have been set in space, and a platformer made in (but not really) MS Paint. Anyway, something-something, gimme them options, I didn't study at Johns Hopkins, cheers and enjoy the anime-zing(ly poisoned) show.

Uncharted: The Lost Legacy Is My New Favorite Uncharted Game | Attack the Backlog

Updated on Sunday, June 6, 2021 at 12:00PM by Registered CommenterMarc Kusnierz

On this episode of Attack the Backlog, Marc gets fast and furious as they run, swing, and climb their way through the jungles and ruins of Uncharted: The Lost Legacy, the standalone follow-up to Uncharted 4 where you play as Chloe Frazer instead of Nathan Drake and team up with Nadine Ross instead of Sully for some good ol' fashioned adventuring. Uncharted: The Lost Legacy originally came out on August 22nd, 2017 for PS4 and that’s it. Anyway, something-something, best played on Baby Mode, well, don't you know, that final sequence made me go, "Whoa!," cheers and enjoy the...wait for it...show!

Maid of Sker, Mighty Goose, Rise of the Slime, The Last Spell, And More | The Pixelated Sausage Podcast

On this week's episode, Marc starts things off with just a smidgen of news before diving deep into what they've been up to the past week, like buying their first-ever mattress and how things have been progressing/evolving with Twitch. After that, they get on to what they've been playing with a horror game of two faces, a titled goose game full of slugs of the metal kind, a Slay the Spire-like game that's really like Slay the Spire, and so much more. Anyway, something-something, hold on to your butts, this one is long and Marc gives no fucks, cheers and enjoy the anime-zing(ly skerry) show.
