iPhone: Skee-Ball Review

God's favorite game! - According to Dogma.

Skee-Ball is one of the best games I’ve played on the iPhone. Skee-ball is not a game that has crossed my mind since the good ol’ days of Chuck E. Cheese, but this game makes me want to revisit my local Chuck E. Cheese like a creepy old guy (ie. Paul Reubens) and rock some skee-ball with God.

It’s amazing that such a simple game can bring me hours and hours of enjoyment. The fact that I’ve put over ten hours into Skee-Ball leaves me with two quick questions: “How did this happen?” and “Why do I feel all dirty inside?”

It’s not that the game is bad, I just feel weird saying I’ve put more hours into Skee-Ball than Scribblenauts; a game with supposedly unlimited possibilities. There is just something insanely addictive about trying to best your high score, or win countless tickets, which can be used to purchase prizes and new skee-balls. It doesn't hurt that the game features great controls and physics.

Skee-Ball is a fantastic game to pass a few minutes here and there, but you can also get lost in the game for hours. It reminds me of my childhood and makes me long for the days when arcades were still such prominent places. It’s an absolute steal at $0.99 and a must-buy for every iPhone owner.

[version 1.1] - Version 1.1 has recently been released and fixed a major bug that caused users to lose their prizes, as well as crashing the game after registering for Plus+.
