LEGO: Ages 8-12
Friday, August 14, 2009 at 5:24AM Why do LEGO sets have specific age ranges? I could understand having a minimum age, but why must there also be a maximum age? Is it because they want me to feel like an idiot for walking into my local Toys 'R Us and buying a set? Is it because they believe that anyone over the maximum age would not find the particular set fun or challenging?
I don't know why these sets have specific age ranges, but I'm in the boat that believes it's so the Lords of LEGO can make me feel like an idiot for loving LEGOs. If this is the case, I will gladly accept this feeling of idiocy in exchange for the pure enjoyment I get from creating awesomeness from these little plastic blocks; not to mention the fact that it's better than feeling like a pedophile when seeing a "kids" movie alone at that cinema.
